Cheese Curd Sales
August and September
Our cheese curd sales are very popular each year at the Grant County Fair in August and Platteville Dairy Days in September. Many Optimist volunteers make these events very successful. Join us and become part of these fun community events.

Optimist volunteers worked with Scouts to conduct a bike safety event. Participants in the Bike Rodeo took part in a skills course. Fun prizes like bike helmets and backpacks were awarded. The weather cooperated and turnout was good on a beautiful summer evening. Many thanks for all of the volunteers.
Safe Riding Everyone!
Optimist Youth Contests
In these annual competitions, youth compete at the local level; winners move to the district level, with the potential to advance to the state and national level. At the local level, the Essay Contest occurs in February, the Oratorical Contest in March, and the TriStar Basketball Contest in March/early April. Click on the links for information and rules.
Every year little boys and girls get a phone call from Mr. or Mrs. Claus. Bringing that joy and wonder to children is special to the Optimist Club.
The Platteville Optimists set up storybook walks at various locations throughout Platteville in late Spring and Summer. Look for your next learning adventure!
