Lancaster Police Chief Speaks about Teen Court

Doreen Hlavaty invited Lancaster Police Chief Deb Reukauf to speak to our Optimist Club about the Teen Court Program. Referring teen offenders to the Teen Court Program is one option available to law enforcement in Fennimore, Lancaster and Platteville. Sanctions for the teenage offenders are determined by a jury made up of their peers. Offenders who complete the program can avoid being issued a citation. The court, which has a proven record of success, is intended to help offenders turn their lives around.
