Amazing Huff Family Innovation Center Tour!

Today we took our meeting on the road for a tour of the Huff Family Innovation Center in Sesquicentennial Hall on the UW-P campus.  Mason and Kayleen provided us with a fantastic tour of this state-of-the-art facility.

In an arrangement that is unique for such facilities, the Huff Family Innovation Center is a dynamic makerspace, where students and community members from any background can engage in hands-on learning and innovative projects.  Measuring nearly 20,000 square feet, the center offers tools and space for woodworking, metalworking, 3D printing, fabrication, textiles, vinyl, video production, and more. Local entrepreneurs and community members are able to utilize the space to develop prototypes or just create items for their personal use.

Thank You, Mason and Kaylene for coming in early on a Friday morning to give us a very informative tour. Your passion for this unique makerspace really enhanced the tour.  Our group thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
