Kimberly Jacobson, Program Director at Family Promise of Grant County, accepts a $1,000 check from Platteville Optimist Club President, Terri Ellis.
Family Promise's mission is to help homeless and low-income families achieve sustainable independence through a community based response. Their vision is a community in which every family has a home, a livelihood, and the chance to build a better future. They provide shelter, meals, and support services to homeless families in Grant County utilizing rotational shelters provided by area churches and also have a Day Center with bathrooms, showers, laundry and other necessities to prepare for each day.
They are very reliant on volunteers and currently have more than 100 dedicated volunteers making a tremendous difference in families' lives. The Optimist Club is proud to support Family Promise and thanks them for the service they provide.
