Optimists Complete Pledge to Platteville Fire Department For New Fire Station

On behalf of the Platteville Fire Department and the New Fire Facility Fundraising Committee, Paul Budden accepted a $3,000 check from the Platteville Optimist Club. The Optimist Club committed to a $5,000 pledge for the new fire station in 2024 and they have now fulfilled their pledge. Paul reported on the progress being made with the new station. Those that drive by the new facility can see that most of the exterior work is complete. They hope to move to department to the new facility late this summer and plan to have a Grand Opening in early October.
