Beth Flesch accepted a $500 donation from Platteville Optimist Club on behalf of the Platteville Special Olympicians and those with developmental disabilities. Beth has been involved with the Special Olympics for 21 years and recently became their financial manager. Special Olympics offers sports seasons throughout the year where the athletes train weekly. Their largest expense is transportation so our donation will be used to help cover those costs. All funds are raised locally and the Special Olympics is dependent on donations and generousity of the community.
