"Salute to Volunteers" Party in the Park 2026

The Platteville Optimist Club gave out cookies and milk at the Annual Chamber "Salute to Volunteers" during the Party in the Park held on Thursday, July 23, 2026. The milk was provided by Ernie Thalmann in memory of Dick, Mary Jo and Carol Loeffelholz. A big Thank You to Carley Borcherding, Linda Richardson, Ernie Thalmann, and Robin Fatzinger for working at the event. Congratulations Robin Fatzinger for being selected as the Platteville Optimist's Volunteer of the Year.
Many of our Optimist Club members received recognition of their volunteer work for other organizations in our community. Besides Robin, also receiving awards were Carley Borcherding, Charley Clark, Bob Hundhausen, and Steve and Maggie Kleisath.
