Supporting Law Enforcement With a Day of Golf

Our Platteville Optimist Club assisted with the Grant County Deputy Sheriff's Outing by donating two gift baskets for the silent auction, as well as soliciting local businesses for donations, raffle items, gift basket items, or hole sponsorships.

Optimists Libby Sides, Terri Ellis, Joy Schewe, Linda Foht, and Kevin Bernhardt worked hard preparing for the event and helping at the golf outing held at Platteville Golf and Country Club on Saturday, June 20, 2026.

Thank you all for everything you do to support our club and our community!

A team made up of Eileen and Gary Engelke, Terri Ellis, and Linda Thomas representing the Platteville Optimist Club participated in the golf outing.

All proceeds from the 3rd annual event directly benefit the Southwest Wisconsin Emergency Response Team (SWERT). SWERT is partly self-funded and relies heavily on community support and donations.
