Platteville Optimist Club 2026 Appreciation, Installation & Awards Banquet
Our annual Installation, Appreciation & Awards Banquet was held on Sunday, September 20, 2026 at the Lutheran Church of Peace. President Terri Ellis was the emcee for the event.
Terri began by recognizing the 2025-2026 Board members. She then reflected on the year mentioning the programs we enjoyed throughout the year and the many excellent speakers who joined us on Friday mornings. Terri thanked the members who were speaker coordinators this past year and the Fellowship Committee Chair Linda Thomas who is in charge of organizing the speakers.
She recognized our committee chairpersons and committee members for their work.
Robin Fatzinger was recognized as our "Volunteer of the Year" an award that was given out at the Party in the Park in July. Terri also presented this year's awards. Details of individual awards and winners will follow in separate posts.
Our guest SWIS District Governor Elect, Kim Burlage installed the 2026-2027 Board.
Officers are: Past President: Terri Ellis, President: Barb Stockhausen, Vice President: Mark Essex, Treasurer: Duane Borgen, and Secretary: Jerry Schewe
Directors are: Robin Fatzinger, Lori Melby, Dianne Jentz, Scott Onson, Kevin Bernhardt, and Amy Coffey.
Everyone enjoyed the social and the delicious dinner.
